Prayers for Joseph

Joseph lost his grandmother in a car accident yesterday morning. She was on her way to work early in the morning and went off the road and hit a tree, less than a mile from her home. Joseph and his Meme were very, very close. He took it pretty hard, telling him was literally the hardest thing we have ever had to do. Sue was an amazing woman and took amazing care of my boy when he was at his dad's, we will miss her a lot. Please be praying for Joseph, his dad, his Poppy, and the rest of his family during this time. Joseph is having a rough time and misses his Meme tremendously! Thank you to everyone who has been praying for him and supporting him already!

Camping Winter Style

This family LOVES to camp, we just can't get enough! So when we can't camp outside the boys love to camp inside. Daddy sets up the tent while Mommy pops some popcorn or makes some microwave smores and ALL the boys run around grabbing blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, and some other goodies. As you can tell, the girls were NOT AT ALL interested in camping out with the guys in the living room!

WE, BECAUSE IT'S WAY CHEAPER, UM..I MEAN CAUSE IT'S WAY COOLER, MADE HOMEMADE V-DAY CARDS FOR EACH ONE OF THE KIDS CLASSMATES AND TEACHERS AND MADE COOL HEART SHAPED CRAYONS TO GO WITH THEM. AND THE BEST PART IS ONLY 1 KID ATE THE HEART CRAYONS THINKING THEY CANDY! :)

I was cooking dinner the other night while ALL the kids were watching a movie, which is rare enough as it is, but when I looked over to check on them this is what I saw them doing! ALL of them, at the SAME TIME, all on their OWN....7 kids...NO FIGHTING!!! Ok, moving on...(I think it's the sleep deprivatrion, I'm going a little insane!)...I don't think they completely understood the rules of Limbo, but I wasn't about to mess with a good thing :)

Around our house we kinda have a tradition where we COMPLETELY spoil the birthday boy! We do it for all 3 of the boys on their bdays, we let them pick what they want to eat, what we do that day, what we watch on tv, etc. Of course there are some limitations and we don't do anything to TO crazy...unless you count having marshmellows and chocolate milk for breakfast crazy!

After David's birthday party he wanted to take all the balloons and cover the ceiling in his bedroom, so we did. He loved it! We had to got back in after he fell asleep and move them so we wouldn't wake up covered in balloons.

David came to me the other day and said "Mommy what is my phone number?" So I told him. Later Brian and I hear him repeating it over and over in his room, every now and then coming out to double check he still had it right. He basically memorized our phone number all on his own. Later I was telling him how I was proud of how he practiced and leaned our number, just to find out the only reason he wanted to memorize it was so that he could give it to a girl he rides the bus with so she could call him! Oh brother!

David actually had a bottom to his outfit, but after so much crying because they we uncomfortable we finally decided to leave them home, after all we were surprised we even got the rest of it on him, so we were better off than we expected. Pick your battles, right?!?

Between Dr.s visits today we were outside sweeping the driveway when the fire fighters came in their fire truck to check the fire hydrant a few houses down. Of course the boys were very impressed and stood and watched the whole time. They were so excited when they realized they were going to drive past our house and both started waving away and saying hi. THEN they stopped! "NO WAY" David said. They got to look at the truck, meet the fire fighters and even got some cool fire badges! I didn't get any pics, I thought it might be a little much to ask them to stay while I go get my camera, but I did get this great picture of the boys with their badges...it didn't take much to get them to smile for the camera :)

We scored this beauty at the goodwill today for and for only $24! We have been looking at these because Will loves playing on train tables everywhere we go Barnes & Nobles, Cousin Dylan's, curch...he can't get enough, but new they run about $200! He is loving it! Turns out we need to get some more trains and track because David LOVES playing on it to. Sshhh...so does Joseph :)

It's a pretty plain one so I am going to paint it up and add some scenery. Hopefully we can talk Daddy into making some trees for us!

THE Panther-Snakes last game!

David did so great at his game on Saturday, he was AMAZING!!! I turned on my camera and took this shot just as he stole the ball:

Click! Great picture of my boy!! This is when my camera battery died! After one shot! Aaahhh! So I grab my camera bag and in record time change the battery, get ready to take a couple (hundred) more shots of my boy REALLY playing soccer and not just running back and forth down the field. I press the power button and....WHAT!!, the other battery is dead too! So here is where I took a few big breathes and remembered that there will many more years of soccer, sports, and scoring....and then I took a couple more breathes. I am majorly disappointed that I didn't get more pictures of it so you'll just have to take my word that David:

Stole the ball, raced all the way from one end of the field to the other (giving Mommy lots of time to take pictures, haha!), passed the ball to another player standing by the goal, who kicked it in and scored a goal!!! We so proud of him! Up until this point I think he just thought that it was about running from one end of the field to the other, not really about kicking the ball or scoring any points. He did great!

Lots of families are being evacuated and that means their pets too. Foster homes are needed! Some of these evacuees may not be able to have their pets at the hotel or temporary shelter with them. THIS A SIMPLE, WONDERFUL AND PRACTICAL WAY THAT YOU CAN HELP THESE FAMILIES DURING THIS CRISIS. Foster care will most likely be need for about a week. If you are interested in fostering any of these animals please let the Waco Humane Society know. What New?

Wow, there has been so much going on around our house lately! That's why we haven't been bloggin', we just haven't had time for ANYTHING. We have finally moved, though we still have quite a bit of unpacking to do. We love our new house and we love our new neighbors, they are all so nice. There are kids right next door for the boys to play with, and they all get together and play almost every evening while the adults stand around talking. It's really nice and so different. It is a little bitter sweet because we miss our old neighbors...most of them. It is so quite around here too! No dogs barking, guns shooting, people yelling, police and fire trucks all night long to keep us all awake. We are still doing a little bit of work to the house, but I will post a picture soon.

Joseph started second grade this year and he loves it. His teacher is great and he really likes her. I had to pick him up from school early one day last week for a doctors appointment and he comes running up saying "Mommy, you are NOT going to believe this! My teacher this year doesn't give you a color change when you have to leave early! That's TOTALLY AWESOME!" (His teacher last year did give him a color change when he had to leave early! Crazy, right?) There are only 5 kids in his class this year. He did have to get a hair cut for school, which he wasn't happy about. Here is hair before the cut, you can see why he had to get a cut:

He is getting so big! It's hard to believe I have a 7 year old! He amazes me everyday how smart he is! He finally has his own room in the new house and is really happy about it. He keeps it so clean and everything organized in specific places, it's really cute. Joe will also be starting guitar lessons soon. He has been wanting to take them for awhile now and he got a guitar for his birthday this year, but it just seems like things just keep coming up and getting in the way, but we promised him he could start after school started. He is so cute with his guitar! He will sit around in the back yard with his ipod, listening and playing his guitar and singing along with the music. SO CUTE! He has also been doing yoga on the wii fit and loves it. Here he is (it's a phone pic so it's not great):

David started Pre-k this year, though he's only been 2 1/2 days so far, including today. He has been super, super sick. Like screaming bloody murder all night long from pain, can't sleep, can't eat, only cries all day long kind of sick. He's still a little under the weather, but things are definitely looking up and he is finally sleeping at night. Here he is on his first day of school:

He is still a little uneasy about the whole school thing, but he is slowly warming up. I'm sure in a few weeks he'll be a pro. He ended up at a school about 10 minutes from the house instead of the one 2 blocks away, we were a little disappointed, but feel blessed to be at either one of the schools, as they are both AMAZING! I don't know the whole story, but the week we moved I heard something on the news about a shoot out at the school that he would have been going to if we had not moved, God had perfect timing!

And Will, oh Will. What can I say, he's definitely 2. Terrificly 2 or Terribly 2, I'm not sure. He's driving me bonkers and making me laugh all at the same time. He is so full of energy and one of the most opinionated little boys I have ever met and boy is he loud and LOVES to talk, I think I hear him say my name 1,000 times a day. Will went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor sent him to get a ultrasound, where we found out that his Hydrocele has come back and he will have to have surgery. They will have to make an incision in his lower stomach to drain the fluid build up, but hopefully he will not have to wear a cathedar home this time. We go to the specialist in the morning and will find out more. Here he is (hasn't he gotten HUGE!?):

Brian has been at his new job for a few weeks now and is liking it so far. The first 6 months he will be on rotating shifts which I am not to excited about, but after that he will be on 3rd until a 1st shift position comes available. I am planning on starting my business up again after Will's surgery. I have had to take a short break just due to everything that has been going on and I have just been way to busy to even think about anything else. I was really excited to find out last night that my new next door neighbor and friend, Britnay, also makes jewelry and has a small business. I am excited to get to see her stuff and hopefully we can help inspire each other. It's always hard to know if what you are making is really cute or if you are the only one that likes it, so it'll be nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of.

We miss everyone, we haven't had time to spend time with hardly anyone! Hopefully things will calm down soon, but I'm sure that's just wishful thinking :) Thanks for everyone's prayers and support through these big changes in our lives, especially my mom and dad, Joel and Tressa, and Wayne and Elaine, who helped us move. There is NO WAY we could have done it without all of your help! THANK YOU!!! I should have more pictures soon, but my camera cord is currently MIA.

We Are Moving!!!

YAY!!! We are finally moving! We have sold our house, found a new house, packing boxes and will be moving in next weekend! I can hardly wait, we all love the new place and are really excited about the great school district! David will be starting preschool. School actually starts this Tuesday, but since we won't actually be living there yet we aren't sure if they are going to let him start, so he may have to start late. Jo is starting 2nd Grade, which is just unbelievable to me, it just sounds so old! The boys are all really excited about moving. We took them to look at the house for the first time yesterday and they all loved it, especially when they noticed that there kids living all around (there are none where we live now). We will send out announcements with our new address soon, but we won't post it on here. I will tey to get a pict of the new place up soon.

Go GATORS, Go!!!

David is starting soccer this year and he is SOOO excited! First, he got to get a new pair of cleats, shin guards, and his very own soccer ball! He loved picking them all out and really put a lot of though and consideration into is decisions.

(this is him the night we got his new stuff. i told him he could wear his cleats while he slept so he just put them on his pillow)

He waited for weeks to get a phone call from his coach telling him when his first practice would be. He was so excited when he got a call from Daddy telling him he was going to be his coach (well, first he was confused, then he was excited). There weren't enough coaches this year for all of the teams, so they called Brian and asked him to coach the team and I am his assistant coach. Neither of us has ever played soccer before, so it should be interesting! AND WOW, who knew there was so much work involved in coaching a team...it's almost like a full time job!

David just got his uniform and it is green (his FAVORITE color) and he couldn't be happier! We were way off of his size though, so we have to exchange it next week. Since Brian is the coach we got to come up with the team name and we (with the help of the boys) decided on The Gators! You'll notice we have changed our page in support of The Gators!

His first game is Aug 30 at the HOT Soccer Fields, we are not sure what time yet, but we'll let you know.
